Portland, Ore.–CETI is delighted and honored to announce that we have been awarded a Creative Heights Grant supported by the Ann J. and William Swindells Fund of Oregon Community Foundation.
This highly competitive award will support the creation of The Power of Place: Stories of Old Town Chinatown—an augmented multimedia storytelling remembering the past and imagining the future of Old Town Chinatown in partnership with artists, technologists, researchers, cultural organizations, and community partners.
“Old Town Chinatown has historically served as a home and gathering space for immigrant communities. As histories and contributions of immigrants are being erased and distorted, The Power of Place will make these hidden (hi)stories and reimagined futures visible to all through multimedia creations. We look forward to furthering this work with our community and partners and we’re grateful for the generous support” said Nandini, Executive Director, CETI.
