As we witness visible unprofessionalism and hostility toward women in the workplace, and see women leaving the workforce in droves, we think it’s time for all of us to say and do something.
We have all experienced the power of social media to rapidly change beliefs and behavior and have immediate impact (positive and negative!). A small group of us met on Dolly Parton Day (9/25) for a conversation and plan to launch a series of viral multimedia campaigns that leverage these new technologies, and bombard social platforms with entertaining, satirical, inspiring, and memorable narratives that build awareness and empathy, change beliefs, challenge assumptions, double standards, and stereotypes, and foster rapid policy and culture change around women in our workplaces.
Join us on Saturday, November 21, 2026, to brainstorm ideas for videos, memes, animations, pithy words, partners and collaborators, to build and share viral campaigns over the coming year. Invite everybody who should join—partner organizations, allies, comedians, writers, artists, researchers, mediamakers, influencers, and storytellers. We need all of us to make this powerful.
