Emerging Media Production
A multimedia exploration to create augmented XR experiences
Emerging Media Production is a series of tours of significant capturing ideas of memories, cultures, people, histories, and events using augmented storytelling technology as a tool for imagination, to amplify voices, to imagine the future and to reclaim our streetscapes as spaces of delight, joy, and belonging. Create animations, videos, 3D artifacts, drawings, and music.
Over the course of the two week session, July 13–23, 2026, 9:30 am–2:30pm M–Th, we will break up into teams and collaboratively create impactful, delightful, and secret experiences learning key 21st century skills:

- Quantitative reasoning
- Creative problem-solving
- Video and audio/music production
- Interviewing
- Research
- AI
- Animation
- XR creation
Students will have opportunities to create with the technology and mentors. Expect workshops, making sessions, show-and-tell from inspiring speakers locally and nationally, mentored collaborative projects, and an amazing final show for the community.
These workshops are held in partnership with Building Blocks 2 Success, Project LEDO, and Black Educational Achievement Movement (BEAM).
