I am fascinated by cities – these hustling, bustling, spaces which have become the de facto home of humanity. I am intrigued by the rhythms and panoramas of a city and the complex interactions that underlie them. I look forward to joining up with fellow artists, scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, students, teachers – all who keep a city running – in leveraging our just our senses but also emerging sensor technologies, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to explore, monitor, map, visualize, and learn about our cities. And use this knowledge to re-imagine and re-build our cities to be sustainable, equitable, and resilient as we move into an uncertain climate future.
