Gaze

Berna Kılıçoğlu was born in 1985 in Turkey and is living in İstanbul as a a lecturer in graphic design and visual arts. The artist is currently writing a doctoral thesis on Art Experience. Her basis of production methods are a combination of digital illustration, photography, collage, sound, and video projection. These mediums inspires by the subconscious, human situations, primitive life, cultures, myths, time and nature. In addition to the contextual process she tries to emphasize empirical, multi-layered and conceptual facts that push the boundaries of art and to include the audience’s practices in the work.
