Chrysanthemum

Ran Sheng, TJ Orloski

Medium: Digital, augmented reality

Chinese families regularly visit the graves of their ancestors to clean the tombstones and make offerings. one important offering is chrysanthemums, especially white or yellow ones. They symbolize grief, express sorrow, and honor the deceased, reflecting deep respect and remembrance for ancestors.

Countless chrysanthemums cascade from the sky, vanishing into the earth—a poetic metaphor for distant families sending their offerings deep into the heart of Block 14.
